The centre is located in a pleasant tree-lined residential area in the town of Colchester in East Anglia, about five minutes’ walk from the town centre.

Colchester is a safe provincial town with a population of around 180,000, and is home to the University of Essex. It is Britain’s oldest recorded town and was a very important centre in Roman times.
The history of Colchester is on display in Colchester Castle Museum.
Surrounding the Castle in the centre of Colchester is the beautiful Castle Park, a very large landscaped park and gardens which host a number of activities throughout the year including food festivals, music concerts, theatre and dance.
There is a wide choice of shops and restaurants in Colchester, offering something for everyone.
The town has an excellent leisure centre with a swimming pool, aerobics classes, a gym, squash and badminton courts.
